YOU GUYS IT’S BEEN FIVE YEARS SINCE MY WEDDING 😀

 

The proposal 7.18.15 /  the Chicago Art Institute

After almost missing our flight (someone overslept and we had to drive REALLY fast to the airport) we made it to chicago to visit my dear friend Aanna, who also happens to be the fabulous photographer for all of these photos. We had a plan to go visit the art institute, and boy was I in for a treat! Dodge carried this cute little picture frame along so he could add his own art to the museum, and in turn propose! In the excitement I don’t think I ever said yes, but we did get married so I’m pretty sure that’s a positive! I will say that in my mind a proposal in a public place terrified me, and I never thought about having photos taken of the moment, but in the moment I didn’t even notice all of the people surrounding us. AND I am SO glad that I have photos 🙂

The Wedding /  5.21.16

We had the PERFECT spring day with beautiful storm clouds to provide perfect cover for photos. We did our first look on the top of little badger with a beautiful view of the Tri-Cities surrounding us. I absolutely LOVE the clouds, the desert landscape, and the spring green depicted. My preference will always be for the more natural candid moments, the ones that you couldn’t script even if you tried. We celebrated our wedding and reception at the beautiful Canoe Ridge Winery in Walla Walla in a setting of wine barrels, the old brick of a past trolley station, and a whole lot of candles and tulips!

So far I have LOVED being able to go back with each anniversary and look through my photos to relive the day. I love the photos that my photographer, Aanna Chase Photography, captured. Each time I look at the photos, I am reminded of the promises that we made and each moment from the day.
