WEDDING TIPS // YOUR BRIDAL PARTY // JORDAN EDENS PHOTOGRAPHY

Hey Bridal party, want to help your bride and groom out? Here’s a list of some things you can do to help make it the most memorable day for your bride and groom!

BRIDESMAIDS

  • Plan the Bachelorette party and bridal showers!
  • Dresses! If the bride has a certain look in mind, help her search for the bridesmaids dresses and be supportive of her wedding gown choice as well.
  • Offer to help with the simple and repetitive tasks: Envelope stuffing? Favor packaging? Place cards? Get together and have a girls night and help your bride get things checked off her to do list!
  • Appointments like choosing the wedding dress? If you are asked to attend, support and reaffirm your brides choices. Keep your own opinions to a minimum and let the bride enjoy her moments.
  • Leading up to the wedding, make sure you know where to be and when for the rehearsal. Also keep up with the brides schedule and offer your assistance on errands or any last minute details.
  • On the day of the wedding, be the information center! Talk to your bride before the wedding day and get the details so you can answer questions and let the bride relax on her wedding day! Be aware of the time throughout the day so the bride and the entire bridal party can get to each scheduled item on time.
  • On the wedding day keep the getting ready space cleaned up! The photographer will thank you for making sure that the room is clean and clear for photos!
  • Help transport all of the things! There will be a LOT of items that need to be moved all over, help keep track of the brides items and making sure things get from one place to another.
  • LET YOUR BRIDE BE THE BRIDE! This is her day to shine! Keep her calm, happy, and excited to celebrate! Help to keep the attention on the bride and minimize stress, anxiety, and drama!
  • Get the party started! The DJ will often request the bridal party to help get the dance going. Get up and dance and encourage others to join in on the fun!
  • Have an amazing day celebrating the love of your bride and groom!

GROOMSMEN

  • Plan the Bachelor party!
  • Work with the bride and groom to get fitted for your groomsmen attire
  • Offer to help! There is a lot of work that goes into a wedding, and any task big or small that you can help with will be appreciated by the bride and groom
  • Leading up to the wedding, make sure you know where to be and when for the rehearsal. Also keep up with the brides schedule and offer your assistance on errands or any last minute details.
  • On the day of the wedding have contact information for the bridesmaids so you can coordinate any questions that come up and/or where you are supposed to be and when.
  • It’s a day to have a good time, but remember that your role in standing up for the groom is to be informative, supportive, and at the right place at the right time. The spotlight should be on the bride and groom.
